The Beyond the Valance™ Arched Direct-to-Surface Window Overlay Kit by Traceable Designer® gives you a new way to finish shades, blinds, headrails, frames, trim, recessed windows, vertical blinds, sliding glass doors, RVs, boats, apartments, and everyday window spaces — without traditional valance rods, bulky hardware, wood boards, stapling, sewing, or professional workroom costs.

This reusable TraceShaper™ kit helps you shape your own fabric into a custom-fitted arched window overlay. Simply prepare your fabric, use the reusable TraceShaper™ forms to trace the engineered arched profile, cut along the trace line, finish your fabric accent, and hang it using the included direct-to-surface hook-and-loop hanging system.

Designed for compatible clean, dry, solid surfaces, the finished overlay can attach to shade or blind headrails, window frames, trim, wall/header areas, recessed openings, and other stable mounting surfaces. An optional rod-pocket method is also included when a rod is preferred or when a direct-to-surface mounting area is not available.

The finished look is smaller, lighter, and more tailored than a traditional valance — typically around 8–9 inches deep, with flexibility to adjust shorter or longer for your window and style. Use your own decorator fabric, lining, and trim to create a custom window accent that feels finished, polished, and beautifully simple.
